This adventure will take you to some of the most remote places in Kenya. Additionally, you have a mix of activities ranging from hiking, walking in a desert, swimming in the largest desert lake in the world and many more. This is an owner guided adventure and the team leader/organiser has great experience in the region.

You will be picked up from the airport by our representative and taken to the Crowne Plaza Airport to freshen up. In the evening, the team leader will meet you at the hotel for a safari briefing about the tour and the expectations of the adventure.
You will leave for Maralal after breakfast. On the drive, we will pass various viewpoints to appreciate the beauty of the Great Rift Valley. En-route, we will visit Thomson Falls You will arrive at the beautiful eco-camp for a late lunch. The camp is located at one of the highest points in Maralal and with amazing views of the town and its outskirts. After lunch, you will get a chance to visit the beautiful Malaso viewpoint.
After an early breakfast, you will proceed toward Loiyangalani on the shores of Lake Turkana. Along the way, you will drive past some of the most spectacular valleys with various mountain ranges. As we get closer to Lake Turkana, we will spend some time at Lake Turkana Windfarm – the largest windfarm in Sub Saharan Africa, providing about 15% of the electricity in Kenya. We will have a picnic lunch and pass various amazing landscapes enroute including the mountain ranges of Ol Donyo Mara, Mt. Nyiru and the Ndotos.
We will start our day with a visit to the smallest tribe in Kenya – the El Molo tribe. You will get to see how the tribe lives and have a boat ride to one of their holy islands. After lunch and relaxation, it is now time for a swim in Lake Turkana which can be followed up with a sundowner at the resort (at your own cost).
This day will see you driving through one of the salt deserts in Kenya – Chalbi Desert. Along the drive you may encounter local tribes people like the Borana and the Gabra tribes who live in the desert with their camels. In the evening we shall visit the local sand dune/s in the area where you can also have some sundowners (please bring your own alcohol). The night will be spent at the edge of the desert in a small town called North Horr.
On this day, North Horr to begin the drive to Marsabit. The landscapes change throughout the day from deserts, semi-desert, scrub, savannah and forests. You will have a chance to also visit one of the natural springs in the area – Kalacha.
Before breakfast, we will have a game drive in Marsabit National Park. After a late breakfast. We will proceed towards the beautiful eco-camp – Sabache Camp for a lunch. The camp is at the base of an iconic mountain, Mt Ololokwe, in Northern Kenya and is in a stunning wilderness setting. After lunch you will be able to rest before having an evening medicinal walk with the Samburu guides. Dinner will be under the stars at Sabache Camp.
After breakfast you will go for a hike to the summit of Mt Ololokwe, which is considered to be the home of God by the local Samburu tribe. The hike to the top and back is between 6 and 8 hours, and you will be given a packed lunch to take with you. A team of local Samburu warriors will guide you on the hike and give you insights about how the mountain is part of their cultural traditions. Lunch will be at the summit of the mountain while taking in the spectacular views all around you. Once you are back from your hike, you will have time to freshen up and relax before an early dinner.
After breakfast, you will have a full day on the Samburu Warrior experience. It will be an easy hike and you will spend the day with the Samburu Warriors and understand their ways of living. This will also include a picnic lunch within the Namunyak conservancy. There will be dinner under the stars for this last night of your safari.
After breakfast, we head back to Nairobi with a quick lunch break in Nanyuki. You will be then transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your last night accommodation at Crowne Plaza Airport.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight to your respective country. This will now be the end of your safari.
