This excursion to the island of unguja, provides a full day discovering the tropical nature of the Archipelago, from the spice farms to the uncontaminated Masingini Forest.
You will start in the morning with a tour of the island’s largest spice plantations, of which zanzibar is one of the world’s first exporters. You will see for yourself where the main spices used in daily cooking and the majestic tropical fruit plants come from.
The plantation tour will end with a swahili cooking class and typical lunch on site.
After lunch you will move into the masingini forest, a beautiful and wild botanical park where you can enjoy the view of secular trees, red colobus monkeys, unique in their kind and present only in a few points of the islands of zanzibar, and other unique specimens of fauna. The trek will last about 2 hours, and will end in a breathtaking vantage point, from where you can admire from the highest point of the island the famous “prison island” and much of the west coast.
After sunset you will be accompanied in the place indicated by you.
