What you will do

Day 1: Welcome to Uganda

Our experienced drivers/guides will be waiting for you at the airport to transfer you to the hotel where you’re going to spend a night while enjoying the weather of Uganda.

Day 2: Kampala city tour

In the morning after breakfast, Our guide will be picking you up from the hotel take you for the tour around Kampala and in this tour, you will be visiting the some places like Gadafi mosque, Uganda Museum, King’s palace, Bahai temple, Kasubi tombs and many others to see, after seeing some of them, we will then go for lunch then transferred back to the hotel to get ready for the next day journey.

Day 3: Transfer to Fort portal

In the morning, our guide will pick you up from the hotel and you will be transferred to fort portal in the western Uganda region, on the way, we shall have a stop for a Ugandan Snack (Rolex), after we proceed to fort portal where we are going to have our lunch from. After lunch we shall go for hot springs and also if time allows, we go to the crater lakes, after we come back to the hotel.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

In the morning after breakfast, we shall start our journey to Queen Elizabeth N.P, we shall be able to see the Equator, a cement factory, Mountain Rwenzori on the way, as our plan is to have lunch from the park. When we get to the park, we can decide to do any possible activity that is either a boat cruise or evening game drive. We shall spend a night in the park while interacting with the animals.

Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking in Queen Elizabeth N.P

Early in the morning after breakfast, we go for Chimpanzee tracking as we shall get a chance of seeing more other animals while tracking the chimps with in the park.
After chimpanzee tracking, we drive to another destination (Ishasha) where we are going to spend another night as the guide goes through the activity to get ready for the next day (game drive for the climbing lions) and other species.

Day 6: Climbing lions game drive

In the morning after breakfast, we will go for the game drive where we expect to see the climbing lions and also see other wild animals as well. After the game drive, we will immediately drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National park so that we get ready for the next activity, which is gorilla tracking the following day. We shall spend the night at Bwindi.

Day 7: Gorilla tracking at Bwindi National Park

Early in the morning, the guide will pick you up and take you to the tracking point for Gorilla tracking, there will be briefing as you’re also given groups/tracking team, gorilla tracking might take like 8 hours to come back.
After the gorilla tracking, the guide will be waiting to take you back to the hotel to freshen up, as we also prepare to plan for departure the next day.

Day 8: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

In the morning, after breakfast, we set off to Lake Mburo National Park and we decide to go for either an evening or morning game drive depending on the preferences. We shall spend a night at one of the hotels near or in the park.

Day 9: Transfer to Kampala/Airport

Early in the morning, we shall decide either to go for a morning game drive or to drive back to Kampala. We shall have lunch on the way preferably at the equator, and then continue with our journey to Kampala either to the hotel or Airport.

What are Dos and Don'ts for this Safari?
Water: Gorilla and chimpanzee trekking can be very tiresome and you need to refill your tank as the trek goes on. It is advisable to park a few water filtration tablets before you come for the trek.

Boots: You will need good waterproof comfortable shoes. Sometimes it rains during the trek, so skid proof shoes can come in handy.

Rain Jacket: You are advised to carry rain jacket because if rains very often in Bwindi Impenetrable forest

Snack: You can carry a light snack to give you some energy during the walk in the forest
Trouser and Shirts Bwindi forest is covered with thick undergrowth, therefore light trousers and long sleeved shirts are advised.

Socks: You will have to tuck in the trousers into the socks to avoid insects crawling inside.

Gloves: You will need Gardening gloves because you will be grabbing tree branches, leaves, name it, and some can be thorny.

Camera: Carry a good camera (no flash ) to capture this lifetime experience

6. When tracking the gorillas and chimpanzees, you should be having some level of fitness because it involves some hiking while tracking the gorillas

7. No sandals, open shoes allowed during the tracking of the gorillas, only covered shoes, hiking shoes

8. Additional accommodation on the last day can be arranged at an extra cost

9. The official currency in Uganda is Ugandan shillings. US Dollars are widely accepted which are printed after 2006.
