The park is not highly explored and touched thus offering the visitors a unique experience. It has plenty of plants and animals that will leave you satisfied.
The Ruaha National Park is well known for its large population of elephants. Over 500 species of birds have been recorded here and make it a paradise to bird watchers. Most of the birds are residents such as Kingfishers, Hornbills and Sunbirds but some are migrants from other continents such as Asia, Europe, and within Africa to the region for instance the White Stork. As much as the birds can be spotted all year around, the best season for bird watching is on the wet season.
Other animals that can easily be spotted in the park include both Greater and Lesser Kudu, lions, leopards, giraffes, elephant, elands, zebras, impala, African wild dog Jackals and bat eared foxes. On the Miombo woodlands you will easily spot the Sable and Roan antelopes.
