This small group overland tour with camping accomodation offers you insights in Botswana culture, history and the best of Botswanas safari destinations as well as the Victoria Falls. The tour takes you from Gaborone to Victoria Falls on a budget. On the way you visit Khama Rhino Sanctuary, the Orapa Diamond Museum, Makgadikgadi National Park as well as Makgadikgadi Salt Pans, Elephant Sands and Chobe National Park with a highlight being the Okavango Delta wildcamping tour. All activities, Camping accomodation and transfers are included during this tour.

ARRIVAL IN GABORONE (-/-/-)
We welcome you at the airport and take you to your accomodation in Gaborone where you can relax and unwind from the journey and prepare for the adventure of the next days.
GABORONE CITY TOUR & ONWARDS TO KHAMA RHINO (B/L/D)
After breakfast we pick you at your accomodation and a local guide will show you our capital city in 3 hours on a cultural and brief historical tour. We start at the Three Chiefs Monument, move on to the government enclave before mixing and mingling with locals in Gabrone Main Mall`s street market. We then take you to Thabong Visual Art Centre and afterwards drive through Old Naledi Township (the crib of Gaborone) to Botswana Craft where our tour ends at noon with lunch.
In the afternoon we leave Gaborone and drive up north to Serowe where we set up camp in the bush of Khama Rhino Sanctuary.
KHAMA RHINO SANCTUARY & DIAMOND MUSEUM (B/-/-)
We start the day in the very early morning at 6am with a 4×4 tour through Khama Rhino Sanctuary. Afterwards we have breakfast at the restaurant of the Community Trust before heading to Orapa area. We set up camp and have the opportunity to order lunch. Then in the afternoon we enter the restricted mining area. A mining worker will give us a shot introduction then we can explore the Diamond Museum.
GAMEDRIVE IN MAKGADKGADI NATIONAL PARK (B/L/-)
After breakfast we continue our journey to Makgadikgadi National Park. We drive along the channel of the Boteti River and have a picknick. Please note we are not visiting Makgadikgadi Salt Pans. This gamedrives visits Makgadikgadi National Park. Between January-April we might see the Great Zebra Migration.
We then continue to the Maun.
INTO THE OKAVANGO (B/L/D)
Today we enter the Okavango Delta for an authentic camping safari deep inside the watersystem.
The tour starts with a 1h speedboat cruise to the Buffalo Fence. Because of dryseason or other circumstances we might drive you in a 4×4 vehicle.
At the buffalo fence you meet your poler, who will take you on an unforgettable journey through the channels of the Okavango. Born and raised in the Okavango Delta, our polers and guides show you their home which they are very pationate and knowledgable about. Our experienced polers take you on a journey deep in the watersystem.
Enjoy the peace of the delta in a Mokoro, the traditional onetree-canoe.
At camp on an island our team awaits you with dinner and a fresh bush shower. In the evening you sit around the campfire sharing the stories of the day.
ON THE ISLANDS OF THE OKAVANGO DELTA (B/L/D)
You are woken up with a warm “Dumela“ (setswana = Hello) and a light breakfast waiting for you. After coffee, tea and breakfast you go on your first gameviewing activity (either a nature walk or a canoe excursion). When returning to camp you have the opportunity to shower. Afterwards you will be served brunch. In the afternoon you enjoy a second gameviewing activity. After dinner you once again sit around the fire before falling asleep with the sounds of the bush around you.
VISITING THE SALTPANS & MEERKATS OF MAKGADKGADI (B/L/D)
You wake up in the Okavango Delta and after your morning activitiy we leave the waterchannels behind and drive south to the salt pans, which are said to be humankinds crib.
The afternoon is dedicated to the salt pans of the Makgadikgadi. In a 4×4 safari vehicle you explore the dry lands.
First stop is at the colony of Meerkats, who live on the edge of the Ntwetwe salt pan. With a little luck we have the once in a life time opportunity to observe their natural behaviours and charming personalities from almost touching distance!
After visiting and interacting with the Meerkats we then continue to the vast Ntwetwe salt pan, which forms part of one of the largest salt pans in the world, likened to being on the surface of the moon, the sight of the salt pan is truly one to behold!
We overnight under the stars in the salt pan.
ELEPHANT SANDS … AN EXPERIENCE NOT TO BE MISSED (B/-/D)
After breakfast we are leaving the salt pans and continue our journey to Elephant Sands.
Enjoy the scenery of this unique place. Elephant Sands gives you the opportunity to observe herds of elephants and other animals from an upclose distance. Sit by the waterhole and view how the animals interact.
GAMEVIEWING IN CHOBE NATIONAL PARK (B/-/-)
In the very early morning you have a cup of coffee and/or tea. Then you go on a guided walking excursion through the bush of the Elephant Sands Game Reserve or on a game drive.
On return you have a full breakfast and time for a last view on the happenings at the waterhole before continuing the journey to Chobe National Park.
Today we do a 3h boating safari in Chobe.
VICTORIA FALLS “THE SMOKE THAT THUNDERS“ (B/-/-)
The Riverfront in Chobe National Park is famous for its large numbers of elephants Chobe which attract animal lovers from all over the world.
You start the day with a morning game drive in Chobe in an open 4×4 safari vehicle.
We then continue to Victoria Falls. A local guide takes you on a guided walking tour through the Victoria Falls Rainforest. You see the Victoria Falls from different angles. You can book additional activities in advance on surcharge. In the evening you enjoy a SunSet Cruise in Zambezi River on top of the Victoria Falls.
DEPARTURE (B/-/-)
We transfer you to the airport where you connect to your departure flight with your baggae full of unforgettable experiences. You can depart from Victoria Falls airport (Zimbabwe) or Livingstone Airport (Zambia).
