Safari:
Departing from Dar Es Salaam by car, we will reach the Mikumi national park, which is located on the northern border of the largest hunting reserve in Africa – the selous – and is crossed by the paved road between dar es salaam and iringa.
It is therefore the most accessible part of a 75,000 square kilometer stretch of wilderness stretching east almost to the Indian Ocean.
The open horizons and abundant wildlife of the alluvial plain of mkata, the popular centre of mikumi, are reminiscent of the most famous plains of the serengeti.
Zanzibar:
After the safari in Dar Es Salaam, we will take an internal flight or ferry to Zanzibar, where a car will wait for us to transfer to Lodge in the south of the island, one of the few wild places left in Zanzibar, where nature still rules.
Arrival in Dar es salaam and transfer to lodge in Mikumi to relax. Afternoon cultural safari with visit to the Masaai village.
Return for dinner and overnight at Camp Bastian.
After breakfast, depart for a full day game drive in the park with lunch box and drinks. On this day you will have the opportunity to sight several animals, including some of the famous Big Five.
Return to Camp Bastian Hotel, dinner and overnight at Camp Bastian.
After breakfast, depart for Dar Es Salaam with a lunch box for packed lunch. Once in Dar we will depart by internal flight or ferry (your choice) to Zanzibar.
Here a chauffeur driven car will be waiting for you for transfer to Mnana Lodge in Kizimkazi for 6 days of relaxation on the beautiful beaches of Unguja Island.
