A day full of excitement and experiences. Explore the channels of the Okavango Delta. Your polers, who are born and raised in the Okavango Delta, take you on an unforgettable journey in a traditional gondola through papyrus and waterlilies. In the afternoon you do a guided walking excursion. A picnic lunch on one of the Islands and cold drinks are included. Our Okavango Delta Day Trip is definately the most affortable way of visiting our this worldfamous watersystem. If you only have little time or you are travelling on a budget the Moremi Day Trip is value for money.
In the early morning we pick you at your hotel or lodge or the airport in Maun. The tour starts at 07:30h with a 1h speedboat cruise to the Buffalo Fence. Because of dryseason or other circumstances we might drive you in a 4×4 vehicle.
At the buffalo fence you meet your poler, who will take you on an unforgettable journey through the channels of the Okavango. Born and raised in the Okavango Delta, our polers and guides show you their home which they are very pationate and knowledgable about.
Our experienced polers take you on a journey deep in the watersystem. Enjoy the peace of the delta in a Mokoro, the traditional onetree-canoe. At lunch time we stop for a picnic meal on one of the islands before your guide takes you on an nature walk where we hope to see more animals and learn about the delta its plants, animals and the tribes living here.
Feel the peace and spirit of the Okavango while watching hippos and elephants swim.
Before sunset you are back in Maun.
