The forest is a great place to encounter many indigenous varieties of flora and fauna<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?q=jozani%20forest&amp;t=m&amp;z=11&amp;output=embed&amp;iwloc=near\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" aria-label=\"jozani forest\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The <b>Zanzibar Red Colobus<\/b> is a specie of monkey endemic to Unguja, the main island of the <b>Zanzibar <\/b>Archipelago. Also known as Kirk&#8217;s<b> red colobus<\/b> due to the name of the first person who focused on it, it is now classified as an endangered species and most of the remaining exemplars are all around the forest of <b>Jozani<\/b>. Population is still decreasing, and conservationists are working with the local government to plan an effective strategy to protect the habitat and the population. There is also another small endemic animal in <b>Jozani forest\u00a0<\/b>that you can&#8217;t miss to spot.
