[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The 15th of June 2019, in Zanzibar, we partecipated at the event of\u00a0Mnarani Turtle Aquarium<\/a>\u00a0of release <\/b>of more than 50 marine turtles<\/b>.<\/p>\n

The conservation project is called\u00a0Mnarani\u00a0‘place of the lighthouse’ in Swahili, and is located at the northern tip of\u00a0Zanzibar\u00a0Island in the small village of Nungwi <\/b>near the lighthouse that marks this landmark. The pond is actually a large, natural tidal pool in the coral rock behind the beach. It was originally set up to rehabilitate and study marine turtles<\/b> that had been caught in fishing nets, and the project developed to ensure that local baby turtles were also protected.<\/p>\n
