[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Tsavo East National Park<\/b>\u00a0is one of the oldest and largest parks in\u00a0Kenya<\/a>. Very easy to reach from Watamu, it is a must see attraction. Daily lot of visitors cross its gates to see the beautiful wildlife that preserve.<\/p>\n

Before cross the gate you’ll be welcomed by friendly monkeys and serious reptiles looking at you as an intruder.<\/p>\n

Inside Tsavo East National Park<\/strong>, the Athi and Tsavo rivers converge to form the\u00a0Galana River. Most of the park consists of semi-arid grasslands and\u00a0savanna. It is considered one of the world’s biodiversity strongholds, and its popularity is mostly due to the vast amounts of diverse wildlife that can be seen, including the famous ‘big five’.<\/p>\n

This Park can be visited during all the year, but the best period for wildlife viewing is for sure from June to October in Dry season. During this season, the vegetation is thinner, and animals congregate around predictable sources of water.<\/p>\n

Known also with the name of Elephant Land, the Tsavo East National Park<\/b> will immediately impress you with his red elephants. The red colour is due to constantly dust-bathing with the Park\u2019s fine red volcanic soil. Over 10,000 of them inhabit the Park.<\/p>\n

Driving around the Park you’ll have the opportunity to met a big variety of wildlife. Lion, zebra, black rhino, gerenuks, Somali ostriches, cheetah, hyppo, crocodile, are just some of the wildlife that you may see.<\/p>\n

After a full day Safari we stopped for relax and dinner. Our choise was Voi Wildlife Lodge<\/a>. This Lodge is built inside Tsavo East National Park and is located in front a waterhole. This allow you to enjoy dinner very close to the wildlife, and to have a drink before going to sleep admiring the beauty of the wildlife passing in front of you.<\/p>\n

A early morning breakfast will give you all the energy for the second day. An immersive journey inside the Tsavo, until reach the Galana River. Gyraffe are also present in big number in Tsavo East National Park, and they will not miss to show their presence.<\/p>\n

Tsavo East is for sure one easy experience we advice to try. On the way back we had the rare lucky of see an Elephant charging a male Lion not far away from our car.<\/p>\n

This is for sure a sign we didn’t have to miss this Park!<\/p>\n
