The <b><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Himba_people\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ovahimba<\/a> <\/b>who are settling in the far north-eastern parts of <b><a href=\"https:\/\/gov.na\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Namibia<\/a> <\/b>used the <b>whale bones<\/b> for building their huts.<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?q=skeleton%20coast&amp;t=m&amp;z=9&amp;output=embed&amp;iwloc=near\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" aria-label=\"skeleton coast\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Skeleton_Coast\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Skeleton Coast<\/strong><\/a> is a 40 km wide and 500 km long coastal stretch in <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Namibia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Namibia<\/strong><\/a>, a hostile but fascinating area. However as from the entrance gate at <strong>Ugabmund<\/strong> and <strong>Springbockwater<\/strong> a permit is needed, which can be purchased in <strong>Windhoek<\/strong>, <strong>Swakopmund<\/strong> or directly at the gate.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>northern part<\/strong> from <strong>Torra Bay<\/strong> up to the <strong>Kunene<\/strong> at the <strong>Angolan<\/strong> <strong>border<\/strong> is not accessible. This area can only be reached with a tour operator holding the concession and qualification. This area is the most attractive area of the park.<\/p>\n<p><strong>South of the Skeleton Coast Park<\/strong> the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.namibweb.com\/westcoast.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>National West Coast Tourist Recreation Area<\/strong><\/a> is located. Although it forms part of the <strong>Skeleton Coast Park<\/strong> it is an individual costal stretch of about 180 km length from the <strong>Ugab<\/strong> mouth south to <strong>Swakopmund<\/strong> and <strong>Walvis Bay<\/strong>. In 2010 this area was integrated into the new <strong>Dorob National Park<\/strong>. This area is freely accessible. Due to the abundance of fish this coastal stretch is a <strong>paradise for anglers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Not only the anglers enjoy the fish, it is also the staple diet for the <strong>Cape Fur Seal<\/strong> occurring in great numbers along the eastern coast where they form huge colonies.
