The tale of our Expedition in Northern Kenya, the Cradle of Humanity,. A journey through some of the most breathtaking landscapes of the region.  From deserts to lakes to mountains, the scenery is unlike anywhere else in the country.

Home to 14 different tribal peoples, the area is also rich in cultural diversity.

Our Northern Kenya Expedition began crossing the Equator line, with the views of Mt Kenya and a break in Nanyuki Town.

We reached for lunch a beautiful eco-camp for lunch. The camp is at the base of an iconic mountain, Mt Ololokwe, in a stunning wilderness setting.  After lunch we couldn’t miss an evening medicinal walk with the Samburu guides.

A stunning beautiful camp under the stars gave us the good night at Sabache Camp.

After an early breakfast,we proceeded for a hike to the summit of Mt Ololokwe, which is considered to be the home of God by the local Samburu tribe.  The hike to the top and back was around 7 hours, with a picnic lunch on the top while taking the spectacular views all around.

A team of local Samburu warriors guideed us on the hike explaing on the road the insights about how the mountain is part of their cultural traditions.

The other displays on this floor include typical swahili bedroom and kitchen.

The bed in the room is a massive claw footed bed that someone as short as me would need a step ladder to get on.

At the foot of the bed there is another pair of slippers. I could resist to trying them on and they were as unconfortable as they look.
